Ann Vaughn "TOBI" Lang was born to on August 25, 1951in Neptune, New Jersey, to the proud parents Slyvia Strickland-Vaughn and Nathan Vaugh, Sr. She was the proud parent of three children: Horace Vaughn (Betsy Ajon-Vaughn), Eric Vaughn and Al-Nisa Vaughn. She was the proud Grandmother of Six grandchildren; Dakita Vaughn, Quianna Vaughn, Eric Vaughn Jr., Julius Underwood, Brianna Hall, and Everett Vaughn. A proud Great grandmother of 12. In November 2008, she was blessed with the opportunity of raising one of her great-grand children Susana Vaughn Rodriguez until her passing. People, please understand that Betsy Ajon-Vaughn was not just her daughter-in-law, Betsy and Tobi were each other’s ROCK! Hobbies: She loved fishing, singing and listening to music, making Bible bags, and whittling. She loved to sing with her long-time friend Butchie; a friendship of over 50 years. She also loved singing with her cousin James “Jimmie” Brown. The one thing that her family should remember is that whenever her and Jimmie were in the same space, they were going to “DUET”. She had a mouth for cussing you out and showing her love. She loved the casino, going there with her ROAD DOG Amanda McAdam. On April 1, 2014, she was blessed to receive a liver transplant. She was put on dialysis for kidney failure, during which she had a doctor by the name of Dr. Pooja Malhotra. Over the years, Dr. Molhotra and Ann developed a loving relationship. She continued her care for Tobi even after she moved to Georgia and being involved in her care. She touched the lives of doctors, nurses, and medical staff that cared for her; RN Tara at Jonesboro Clinic, RN Zelda, who tried till the very end to get Tobi to communicate. “TOBI” has joined in eternal rest with her late parents, Slyvia Strickland and Nathan Vaughn, Sr., her loving daughter, Al-Nisa Vaughn, and her Heaven-sent Sister Sylvia Strickland-Woodsen. As well as a host of other family, friends, and loved ones. She leaves to mourn, her oldest son and daughter-in-law, Horace & Besty, her youngest son Eric, her great-granddaughter Susana as well as a host of grand-children, great grandchildren and host of family, loved ones and friends. Susana said her Nana was stubborn, and loved grits a certain way. Special thanks to New Testament Gospel Worldwide, Cousin Cheryl Green-Jackson for her love and support. Cremation Care of Georgia.
