Ms. Daisy Lee Davis Winslow Sunrise-February 18, 1935 Sunset- July 4, 2023 On Tuesday July 4th 2023 This wonderful lady affectionately known as Mother/Granny, Ms.Daisy, transitioned from this world to rest in eternal peace. Ms. Daisy was born in New Orleans, Louisiana the daughter of the late Aaron and Mary Davis. She was preceded in death by her brother and sister Alvin Sr. and Ruth Davis. Ms.Daisy was the mother of 6 children - two sons, Herman (Verdell) Winslow Jr and Rene' Winslow both of California and four daughters Sandra Winslow, Donna Davis Chambliss, Denise Winslow and Jacqueline (aka Ruthie) Winslow all of Georgia. Also a fill-in Mother to her late sister’s 3 children - Sharon Davis Riley and the late Shelvin Roberts of Louisiana, Rodney Davis Roberts of Georgia -all of whom she deeply loved. As a single mother and a talented artist she used her creativity to begin a career as a seamstress which allowed her to become a stay at home mom. For over 60 years she serviced the community by creating uniforms for schools and church choir robes, as well as a host of wedding attire along with children and adult apparel. Ms.Daisy was an amazing cook who enjoyed entertaining family and friends. She was a pleasure to be around, many enjoyed her conversations and light hearted banter. She also loved putting together over thousand piece puzzles and playing word chums on her ipad. As a mother and grandmother she assisted in the nurturing of her grandchildren and instilled in each of us the importance of family, faith, compassion, humility and last but absolutely not least the loving wonderfulness of our Creator Lord God.
