REVELATION : 21 :4 Eunice Marie Thomas was born May 31, 1955 to the late Roosevelt and Carrie Thomas in New Orleans, Louisiana. Ms. Thomas departed this life at her home in Atlanta, Georgia on Sunday, October 1, 2023. She was a resident of New Orleans, Louisiana until Hurricane Katrina. She was preceded in death by her parents Roosevelt and Carrie Bradford Thomas; grandparents Rosalie and John Bradford; John Pinkey Thomas. Her nephew Alvin Thomas; and her fiance' Kelvin Jones. She leaves to cherish her precious memories ; her only daughter LaKeishea Deon Dixon. She is also survived by her only sister, Rosalee McDaniels Russell ; nephews Lawrence McDaniels ( China ) preceded in death by Alvin Thomas of New Orleans; niece Sonja (Corey) McDaniels Temple; of San Antonio, Texas . Also her Godson John Smith and Goddaughter Eunique Chambliss as well as a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins, colleagues, family, and friends. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by the late Rev. Leroy C. Jefferson , the pastor of First Corinthian Baptist Church. Upon her temporary return to New Orleans; she worshiped at Beecher Memorial United Church of Christ where she attended weekly Bible Study and Sunday services. She was passionate in praising the Lord where she participated in all programs and events held at the church . Eunice enjoyed family time, shopping, computer games and going to the casino.. Eunice was educated in the public schools of New Orleans. She attended Sylvania F. Williams Elementary School, James Derham Middle School, and Graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1973. Eunice continued her advanced education at Meadows Draughon Business College. Employer of Touro Infirmary Hospital for 32 years. Eunice Memorial Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 11:00 A.M., at Beecher Memorial United Church of Christ, 1914 North Miro Street, New Orleans, Louisiana 70119. Rev.
