Gregory Donell Clark

November 7, 1951 - March 25, 2021

Gregory Donell Clark was born November 7, 1951 in Columbia, South Carolina to Arties Lee Clark, Sr (deceased), and Cathryn Clark. He graduated from Samuel Howard Archer High School and earn an associates degree in music at Tennessee State University. Gregory D. Clark departed from this earth on March 24, 2021. He held a strong belief in God, he was a member in the family church, Springfield Missionary Baptist Church. He accompanies several churches with his music of the guitar, bass and keyboard, some of which included St. Paul AME, His Glory Ministries, Amazing Grace and so many more. His God given gift was also shared with fellow musicians, Joe Tex, S.O.S. Band, Johnny Taylor, Candace Staton, Bobby Womack and many others. Greg was preceded in death by his father Arties Lee Clark, Sr. and brother Arties Lee Clark, Jr. His departure left precious family members to cherish his life, His mother Catheryn Clark, his daughter Richie Lawrence, two sisters Carolyn Pettaway and Patricia Thornton, one brother Randy Clark, his beloved fiance’ Beatrice Jones, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of faithful friends. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
