Corey Chambliss

“And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: The Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord” -Job 1:21 Corey Nicholas Chambliss Sr. peacefully departed this life on Friday, October 25, 2024, at his home in Georgia. Corey was born on October 3, 1983, in New Orleans, Louisiana, he was the son of Mr. Wilbert Chambliss Jr. (Glenda) and Ms. Donna Davis Chambliss. Corey leaves behind a cherished legacy with his sons, Corey Jr. Caleb and their loving mother Ms. Saundra Ramsey. He is also survived by his grandfather, Mr. Wilbert Chambliss Sr. and his nine devoted siblings: Wilbert III (LaShaun), Damond, Demetris Sr. (Ebony), Kerry Sr. (Kellie), Andre, Chelsea, Dionna (Quintin), Eunique, Whitney. Corey was predeceased in death by his grandmothers, Naomi Chambliss and Daisy Winslow, as well as his uncle Brian Chambliss and aunt Jacqueline Winslow (Ruthie). Corey will be dearly missed by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends. Growing up in New Orleans, Corey was lovingly guided toward faith and devotion. He attended Peoples United Methodist Church and Pilgrim Progress Missionary Baptist Church where his uncle Cordell introduced him to the trumpet, nurturing a love of music. Corey cherished time spent with his grandfather, playing games with his siblings and hanging out with his brothers and cousins. 2004 Corey relocated to Georgia where he became employed with LaMadeleine Bistro, it was here he discovered his passion for cooking along with meeting the mother of his children. Saundra and Corey created a loving home for their children and maintained a forever friendship. As Corey pursued his passion, he soon became employed with Texas Roadhouse, where he aspired to grow into management. Corey will fondly be remembered for his vibrant spirit, infectious sense of humor, and love for history and good debates. He was a dedicated New Orleans Saints fan, a good friend, and a source of joy to those around him. His presence full of warmth, laughter, and spontaneity, will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him,
