Jonathan Brandon Brown

Mr. Jonathan Brandon Brown, affectionately known by his wife as “Daddy”, entered into eternal life on Friday, March 21, 2025. He was 44 years young. Jonathan was born into this life on December 1, 1980. The youngest of three, Jonathan wasborn to the union of Isaac Brown, Jr., and LaVerne (maidenname Gordon) Brown. Born in Washington, D.C., he spent most of his life in Decatur, Georgia, where he attended Columbia and Gresham HighSchool until he joined his father in Maryland, where he graduated from Friendly High School, Fort Washington, Maryland. After graduating high school Jonathan returned to Decatur,where he began his career in the field of maintenance at the age of 21. He became a Craftsman Engineer Service Tech in HVAC working for Tribridge Residential for many years. He was last employed with Progress Residential where he worked for several years throughout the state of Georgia. Jonathan, a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend, gave his all to everyone no matter their relationship in his life. He had a beautiful and kind spirit that was felt by everyone he encountered. He had a full life and touched the lives of everyone along the way. Jonathan gave his all in every aspect of his life, leaving a sprinkle of joy along the way. Jonathan and his wife have a love for old skool cars; rebuilding and making over cars is a passion for them. Jonathan had a 1986 Monte Carlo that he restored and was his prize possession. Monte Carlo’s have always been his favorite old skool car of choice. He was also very proud of the family business they started together in the last 2 years called Selfie Closet ATL. Those left to love and cherish his memory are his loving wife of 15 years, Tamara Watford-Brown; step-children, Marquis and Martez Watford, and Eric and Eriona Danner; daughter, Jade Charvar Briona Brown, who was born with the union of his wife (born the same day as her father), who he gave all that he could; grandsons, Kash Howell (Watford) and Nasir Watford; his father, Mr. Isaac Brown, Jr., (Anna) of Maryland; mother, Ms. LaVerne Gordon Brown of Decatur, GA; brothers, Calvin (Rodnette) and Darryl (Genice) Hale of GA, and Isaac Brown III of Sebring, FL; nephews, Sharod, Terik and Chris Hale; nieces, LaToya and Madison Hale, all of GA; a host of special cousins in Washington, DC and Cleveland,OH; mother-in-love, Dr. Alice (Michael) Miller-Allen, Indianapolis, IN; a special relationship with brother/sisters-in-love Becky Squires, Darnell Wilson and Davon Patterson-Trotter, and many other extended brothers and sisters-in-love through the union with his wife; two special cousins-in-law, Cheo Watford and Shawn Lottie; friends that became brothers, Will Trower, Henry Kato, Emanual Session, Sr., DeAndre Mattox, Thomas Rose, Jay Caldwell, and Audreece Johnson; friends who became sisters, Monique Simmons, Viette Smith, Alonda Stewart, Sonya Williams, Francine Alexander (who shares the same birthday as him and Jade), Bridgette Larry, and Elisha Parahams; along with other relatives, in-loves, and friends. Those who preceded him to glory include his paternal and maternal grandparents, Mr. Rodney James Parker (a father figure to Jonathan), who passed to glory in 1993 at the age of 46 and a special aunt, Debora Tyson, who passed in 2001 at the age of 46; a special uncle, John Brown, who pass to glory in 2011 in his late 50s, along with additional uncles and aunts. Jonathan was such a wonderful husband, father, and son who went above and beyond to care for and protect his family. He never complained about anything, always kept a positive attitude, and was dedicated to his profession and the company in which he was employed. He was also dedicated to the family business he built with his wife and cousin-in-love, Cheo Watford.
